Sleep Deprived?
This is a story to which every mother can relate…”An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard. I could tell from her collar and well-fed belly that she had a home and was well taken care of. She calmly came over to me, I gave her a few pats on the head; she then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in a corner and fell asleep.
An hour later, she went to the door and I let her out.
The next day she was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed her spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks.
Curious, I pinned a note to her collar:
‘I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful, sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.’
The next day she arrived for her nap, with a different note pinned to her collar: ‘She lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3. She’s trying to catch up on sleep. Can she come tomorrow?’ ”
Such a funny story.....I know there were are days that I sure feel like this!!
My friend Jen shared this and I loved it and wanted to share it with you!!

What a cute story! I need to find me a hide-a-way like that!
Do you guys still have Summer your dog? Running is good! I am still in the "im excited to run" stage so I still like it for now! i want to actually stick with it this time so I am trying to find real reasons why I want to run. Hows Utah? Are you able to see Crystal and Tony? or Lauren and her family??
Love you!
Hey Shannon, no we left Summer with a good family in AZ and we miss her so much everyday. They have 4 kids and are dog trainers, so she is in good hands, it just makes us sad. Do you have Max still? As for running, I am so proud of you. I am having the hardest time getting started with it. I seem to give up when it gets hard. And everyday, I wish I were a runner, even have dreams of being this amazing runner, but in reality...I look painful running. As far as Utah goes, it is getting better because the Sun is finally starting to shine more often. Being from AZ, I miss the sun light. Not so much heat, but just the sun shining on my soul. I do get to see Crystal and Tony almost every Sunday unless they have something else going on, and I super duper love that. It makes it so nice to have them here. I haven't seen Lauren's fam, she lives really far from me, so that's it. How's your new place? Are you missing your mom's house??
